Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon

The Transformer 3 trailer has been released online. The movie takes place in time where Apollo 11 and the first astronauts set foot on the moon. This discovery was kept a top secret for over 40 years.

Megan Fox's character, Mikaela, was not brought back for the third installment and a new love interest for Sam was assigned. She will be played by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon will be released on July 1, 2011. The movie will be directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. It will star Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, and Ruben Rodriguez, with Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime, and Hugo Weaving as the voice of Megatron.

Here's the trailer:

Highest Grossing Movie of 2010

Since the year is coming to a close in a matter of weeks, it is only fitting to mention the moneymaker of 2010. Toy Story 3 is the highest grossing film of 2010. I have seen all three of the movies and liked part 3 the best. The plot revolves around Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends. They are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, departs for college.

While it cost Pixar about $200 million to make Toy Story 3, the investment was well spent as it grossed over one billion dollars worldwide.

Here are the figures broken down for Toy Story 3:
  • Domestic - $415,004,880
  • Foreign - $648,079,293
  • Worldwide - $111,307,189
